Book of Choice: The Architecture of Image - Juhani Pallamaa

Lately I have been reading The Architecture of Image by the Finish architect and theorist Juhani Pallamaa. It is a compilation of his lectures and writings on the subject of cinema influencing architecture and vice versa.

For those of us who want to understand the theory behind seductive architectural images in film and design, this book is a must...read it... I promise you won't be disappointed.

Book Description Via Amazon:

This book explores the shared experiential ground of cinema, art, and architecture. Pallasmaa carefully examines how the classic directors Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Michelangelo Antonioni, and Andrei Tarkovsky used architectural imagery to create emotional states in their movies. He also explores the startling similarities between the landscapes of painting and those of movies.
